Rules Pertaining to Children

  1. Parents/guardians, not lifeguards, are responsible for their children's conduct. Supervision of children are the parents/guardians responsibility at all times.

  2. All children under ten years of age must be accompanied by an adult, or by a responsible person 14 years of age or older and must be under that person’s direct supervision while in the pool.

  3. Children ten years of age and older may come to the pool unaccompanied only if they have passed the swim test.

  4. Ask a Lifeguard to administer a swim test for any child who wants to swim unattended. Children must be able to swim the length of the pool, jump off the diving board, tread water, and swim to the side of the deep end in order for them to swim unattended in all sections of the pool.

  5. Non-swimming children are not permitted to cross the ropes into the main section (3-5 ft. part) unless they have direct in-water supervision by someone 14 or older. They are not permitted in the deep area.

Toddler Pool

  1. Use of the toddler pool is limited to preschool children.

  2. The toddler pool is not supervised by a Lifeguard, therefore, all children using the toddler pool must be directly supervised at all times by a parent/guardian.

Children in Diapers

  1. All children who wear diapers are required to wear a “swimmie” diaper at all times when they are in the pool, including the toddler pool.

  2. Regular disposable diapers are not permitted.
