Volunteer Jobs
| Family participation is essential to the success of a summer swim team. It takes around 40 volunteers to staff each home meet and 16 volunteers for an away meet – not to mention the day-to-day activities that keep the team running smoothly. We have 8 meets plus a number of team-building activities, so we will need everyone’s help! To ensure fairness and effective coverage, we are introducing the following Family Volunteer Requirement for the 2010 season: | |
|
|
Swim Meets: each family is required to staff at least 3 of the “Meet”
positions per season.
|
|
| Food Donations: our concession stand during home meets is one of the main venues that we raise funds to support our swim team events. Each family is expected to provide their assigned food or beverage item at each four home meets. If you will be absent from a meet, please contact the Concessions coordinator to drop off your donation early. |

|
Swim Team Extras: at Skyline, swim team is more than just swimming!
Our goal is to give our swimmers a fun and social experience both in and out
of the pool by participating a variety of team-building activities. The
following organizational and support positions are available to assist in
this effort and can replace one (or more where indicated) of your “Meet”
volunteer requirements.

|
$100 Volunteer Opt Out Fee: Skyline has always been known for active
parent involvement – it’s definitely one of the reasons our team has been so
successful and fun to be a part of! However, we understand that summers can
be busy and hands-on volunteer participation is not always an option for
some families. If you cannot meet your volunteer obligations and food
donations, you may elect a $100 opt out fee. Please notify one of our swim
team coordinators if you prefer this option so we can adjust the volunteer
schedule accordingly. |
