Keaton Kristoff
Head Coach
Office hours Wednesday 5:30-6:30pm
coachkristoff@skylineswimclub.com
Keaton Kristoff is a swim coach who brings a strong competitive background and a passion for helping athletes grow both in and out of the pool. A former collegiate swimmer and two-time All-American, Keaton uses his experience in the sport to connect with athletes and understand what it takes to improve and compete at a high level.
Keaton’s coaching philosophy is centered around building strong relationships with his swimmers while creating an environment that is challenging, positive, and enjoyable. He believes that every swimmer is different, and focuses on helping athletes develop confidence, find what works best for them, and understand the purpose behind what they are doing in practice.
His practices emphasize technique, race details, consistency, and hard work while still keeping athletes engaged. Keaton wants his athletes to enjoy the sport, believe in themselves, and leave the program as better swimmers, teammates, and people than when they started.
JP Hynes
Associate Head Coach
coachjhynes@skylineswimclub.com
JP began swimming at age six and developed his competitive drive alongside his four siblings. After moving to Missouri, he joined the Kansas City Blazers, where years of training and competition ultimately led to the opportunity to swim at the Division I level.
In 2019, JP joined the University of Utah swim team, competing for four years and serving as team captain his senior season. During his collegiate career, he helped set a school record in the 4x100 freestyle relay, earned a spot among the program’s five fastest swimmers in the 100 backstroke, and qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in the 100-meter backstroke.
After graduating from the University of Utah in 2023 and completing a 16-year competitive swimming career, JP eventually found his way back to the pool as a coach. He joined Skyline Swim Club in late 2023 and brings his experience, competitive mindset, and love of the sport to helping the next generation of swimmers develop and succeed.
Will Woodall

Will, originally from Houston, Texas, has been dedicated to swimming for 16 years. From ages 7 to 18, he trained under Coach Michael Hernandez, where he honed his technique and learned valuable race strategies. He then went on to compete for the University of Utah during his first two years of college, working primarily with Coach Jordan Taylor. Specializing in sprint events, Will has recorded the fastest time in the 50 freestyle both years at the university.
Throughout his time in club and collegiate swimming, Will has developed a passion for helping his teammates fine-tune the small details that make a big difference in races. For him, there's nothing more rewarding than seeing the swimmers he coaches thrive using the techniques and insights he shares.
Currently, Will is pursuing a degree in communications, with aspirations of becoming a pilot after college.
Arden Tesch
Coach
coachtesch@skylineswimclub.com
Arden Tesch grew up right here in Salt Lake City and began competitive swimming at age five. She competed for Swim Utah, Olympus Aquatics, and Highland High School, where she was a four-year varsity swimmer, state finalist, and swam at the sectionals level.
Arden continued her swimming career at Western Colorado University on the Division II NCAA team. She specialized in distance freestyle and the individual medley. During her collegiate career, she set team records in the 500, 1000, and 1650 freestyle and the 400 IM.
Her competitive background exposed her to a wide range of training philosophies. These include traditional high-volume endurance training to highly technical, race-specific approaches such as USRPT. That experience has shaped her ability to understand different athletes and recognize that successful training is not one-size-fits-all.
After graduating from Western Colorado University in 2023 with a BA in Art, Arden found her way back to Salt Lake City. Arden has spent the past two years coaching swimmers of all ages and has several years of experience providing private swim instruction. She emphasizes strong technique, athlete development, motivation, and creating a positive training environment where swimmers can build confidence and develop a lasting connection to the sport.
